The GS Verde Group has advised Wales-headquartered food production business, Abergavenny Fine Foods (AFF) on its acquisition by The Frostkrone Food Group, based in Europe.

Nigel Greenaway, Chief Executive of GS Verde Group and Corporate Director of Greenaway Scott said, "We were delighted to advise on this cross-border transaction. Not only is this acquisition an exciting development for both AFF and The Frostkrone Food Group, but also for further opening up Wales and Welsh business to the world."

AFF, who employ about 200 staff, make finger food and snack combinations in the form of deep-frozen goods or as fresh produce. The product range includes finger foods such as Halloumi Fries, Jalapeño Poppers, Mac'n'Cheese Croquettes, Jaffa Cake Bites as well as goat cheese products.

In comments recently reported in the press, Jason Rees, Managing Director of AFF, said: "We are very excited to be joining the Frostkrone Food Group and continuing on our growth journey in frozen and chilled finger food together, bringing more value and job security to Wales and the local area in the process."

Abergavenny Fine Foods will continue to export its product range to Australia, Japan and the US, where it has strong business connections. This acquisition will mean that AFF are able to expand into more markets and further strengthen its market position and consolidate its standing beyond the UK's borders.
